Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and there’s still time
to prepare to make mom feel extra special!
Sure you can book reservations for a nice brunch, but why not do one for
her at home? Think about some of mom’s
favorite foods and start planning your menu from there. For instance, my mom’s favorite food is
blueberry pancakes, so I’ll be serving a blueberry lovers breakfast including;
blueberry pancakes, muffins and a blue-mosa (sparkling blueberry juice &
champagne). I’ll also throw in some
basic breakfast foods, eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc, but that little attention to
detail of mom’s favorite foods will go a long way. You don’t need to be at the Ritz to make mom
feel like a million bucks. Break out the
nice tablecloth, napkins and china…throw together a bright colored floral arrangement, or cylinders
with fresh colorful fruit, and voila! A
Mother’s Day brunch that is affordable, from the heart and memorable for
mom. Happy Mother’s Day everyone!

Lindsay and Jonny in Destination Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine!
We're so excited to be celebrating the upcoming 1 year wedding anniversary of Lindsay and Jonny! Their destination wedding in the Cayman Islands was beyond fabulous. We were so grateful to assist them with the coordination of all print materials for their big day. We had the privilege to work with three different designers that helped bring the bride and groom's vision to life. Check out this month's issue of Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine, where their wedding was featured, to see how it all came together! Congrats again Lindsay and Jonny! xoxo

Kelly's Baby Shower
Nothing is more exciting than showering a new mommy-to-be with adorable gifts for her bundle of joy! For this candy loving mommy, we added a few special touches that ended up being decorative for the shower and useful in the end. The lollipop bouquets were made of wash cloths, burp cloths and receiving blankets. Another item that newborns can never have enough is onesies. So instead of packaging them in your typical gift bag, we made them into onesie rolls. And of course the guests couldn't leave without a candy treat of their own. The homemade teddy bear chocolate lollipop favors were a big hit. This candy themed decor is now all unwrapped and being used for newborn baby Michael Sylvester Amatangelo! Congratulations Kelly & Mike!

Lindsay & Jonny’s Destination Wedding…the day has come!
So we’ve shared the details with you from our destination bride and groom thus far, and the day has come. As you know from our previous posts, ordinary wasn’t in this couple’s vocabulary. Their creativity and imagination ran wild when deciding on their wedding day print materials.
This Cayman Island Destination Wedding began with guests receiving a welcome bag filled with goodies and a unique map of the island. The map showed key locations of the weekend events, with important details listed on the back. At the ceremony the guests stayed cool with custom program fans, accented with palm tree designs and satin ribbon to tie in the couple’s mango and pineapple color scheme. After the “I do’s” were complete, the Mr. & Mrs. escorted their guests to a breathtaking ocean front venue to continue the celebration. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a fabulous custom seating chart guiding them to their appropriate seats. They chose to name their tables after memorable locations from their 12 years (yes I said 12) of dating! Finally guests were able to select their dinner option from a delightful custom menu.
These amazing designs were all brought to life by Laura Hooper Calligraphy. Laura’s ability to understand your idea and execute it perfectly was amazing. She was a pleasure to work with and was extremely communicative through the entire process.
The Silver Platter would like to thank Lindsay and Jonny for using our services to assist with your wedding print materials! The day was beautiful and I wish you endless years of happiness together as husband and wife!
Check out our Facebook Album: Destination Wedding for photos of the print materials!

Tyler Joseph's Baptism
What a beautiful day it turned out to be for Tyler Joseph’s Baptism! Over one hundred of his closest family and friends gathered for his celebration. Looking super handsome in his fabulous white outfit, Tyler watched wide-eyed as everyone celebrated with him. The Silver Platter (TSP) was happy to be a part of this special day.
We were hired for a full event planning service from start to finish. Proud parents, Courtney and Tom, were a pleasure to work with! From our initial consultation to packing up the car at the end of the event, TSP was with them every step of the way. We assisted with invitations (researching vendors, stuffing and mailing), entertainment for the children, centerpieces, flowers and décor, running errands for our client, picking up party supplies, delivering completed items to client’s home and event location, setting up the event location, accepting food delivery and clean up.
By the time the family was done celebrating at church, all they had to do was walk in to the reception and enjoy Tyler’s special day with their guests. TSP also provided servers to handle all of their guests’ needs during the reception and for final clean up. We had a wonderful time and were honored to be a part of this little man’s big day!
If you’re looking to have an upcoming event and are stressing about how to manage it all, give us a call. We will happily arrange our planning packages to suit your needs and budget!

Mom, Dad and the man of the hour, baby Tyler!

I would also like to take a moment and give a special thanks to Jean Musolino of Willow Tree and Me Designs for designing an amazing logo for TSP! Working with Jean was an absolute pleasure. I gave her a sad looking stick figure sketch of what I was thinking of for the logo, spent some time brainstorming together, and on the first shot Jean came up with our eye catching TSP girl. Her originality, attention to detail and ability to bring your personality into her designs is amazing. If you are looking for a designer for any type of business or personal materials, I highly suggest checking out her complete portfolio.
